About Our Senior Pastor
Daniel I. Kikawa, B.S., Ph.M., Ph.D.
Pastor Daniel has two grown children, two grandchildren and has been married to his wife, Yolanda, for 38 years. He has a secular Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology/Sociology, a Seminary Master’s Degree in Family and Marriage Counseling and a Seminary Doctorate in Intercultural Studies. Pastor Daniel is an ordained minister with the Missionary Church USA and has been the Senior Pastor at HMC since 2009.
Pastor Daniel is committed to seeing the members of HMC develop vital friendships within the church and become a true `ohana (family) that will play together and work together for Jesus. He desires to see member of HMC develop a living and personal relationship with Jesus, find their purpose and calling in life, and release them to fulfill the wonderful destiny God has created for them.
Pastor Daniel has written three books, Perpetuated In Righteousness, God of Light, God of Darkness, and the Cross-Cultural Evangelism Game. He has produced three music CDs (Aloha Ke Akua, A Call to the Nations and I Kaupakuea), two International Telly Award winning films (God’s Fingerprints in Japan 1 & 2), and is a Co-Producer with Create International of a new evangelical film for the Santal people of India. His materials are being used in missionary schools and Bible colleges worldwide and he is in demand to teach at conferences, seminaries and churches on every continent. London Theological Seminary, Fuller Theological Seminary, The University of the Nations, and many other seminaries have been granted permission to use examples from his book, The “Cross-Cultural Evangelism Game,” in their missiology classes.
About Our Youth Director
Stephen Bonnett and wife Carly are originally from British Columbia, Canada. Hearing God's call to Hilo they left home to follow His prompting. They have now been serving the HMC Ohana since 2016 in the youth program, worship team and church office.
