Men's Ministry

 

The Men’s Ministry seeks to glorify God through ministry to men, their families and to Hilo Missionary Church.  Our vision is to encourage fellowship, evangelism, discipleship, service and involvement in Hilo Missionary Church programs and activities.

Men’s activities include the following:

• Authentic Manhood Class: 25-30 men gather together to learn about being a man of God and to fellowship and encourage one another. Classes are every other Wed. evening.

• Several Men’s Accountability Groups meet regularly for bible study, sharing and prayer.  Men who are not part of a prayer group are encouraged to join with an existing group or start a new one. 

• Social/recreational activities for men and their families occur sporadically to promote fellowship, recreation and evangelistic outreach.  Such activities include barbecues, men’s retreats, kids fishing tournaments, bike rides, camping trips, kayaking, softball games, Valentine Dinners, etc.

• Men assist Hilo Missionary Church and individuals with building and grounds cleanup and maintenance, household and equipment moves, Easter breakfast preparation and a variety of miscellaneous tasks.

Volunteers are always needed to cook for and speak at Men’s Suppers, plan and lead outreach, social and training activities and to provide “muscle” for maintenance, moving and cleanup tasks.
